While we were at investment banks, we used to provide our services completely free of charge to friends and acquaintances in our free time. We were joyous when facilitating transactions meaningful to our clients, the society, and other stakeholders.
A few ways that we had facilitated transactional needs were to provide fair pricing and valuation for various instruments, to tap the market for checking demand and marketability in Korea, to arrange a number of meetings with financial institutions for non-Korean couterparts seeking opportunities in Korea, and to liason with third parties, such as law firms, accounting firms, and regulators.
Over the past decades, we have come to realization that our expertise benefits clientele much broader than a small fraction of companies in the market that those investment banks serve - the small fraction, which tends to be multi-billion, multi-national, publicly listed, or state-owned enterprises.

Note that even a private equity firm with an AUM of USD 1bn often does not have a compatible internal team dedicated to hedging risks in their own investments. Deals prepared by the first-tier banks can properly hedge their own risks internally, but it surprises us that knowledge and practice are inadequate even at second-tier global banks. We would like to narrow that gap for both medium-sized financial institutions and corporates.

Another observance over the decades is that at the first tier banks, things all go smoothly.
However, at the second-tier or regional banks or in any other minor league, there are many hiccups - completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and unhoumous.
Those inexperienced hedges often lead to ineffieciecies and operational burdens down the road. They bring about high overhead costs in one way or another.
They range from higher execution prices to payment failures (delays, etc.) and also from avoidable extra reportings resulting from the lack of experience to having to restructure the transaction after some time.

For hedging solutions, our fees are reasonable: a fixed fee at the beginning (USD 20-150K per deal) and a tiny fee ongoing (e.g. 2-8bps p.a.) until the end of the tenor.
This reasonable fee will save you much more on your execution price and saves headaches after execution until your capital returns back to you in the end. We cooperate with you just as you would collaborate with an internal department.
